I did not setup for portal or quick reply but I will look into it.

Is that a portal.php file in the root showing your portal page?

The icons for smilies are in mchat showing but that's it. They should be hidden with the button showing.
Is that template in your portal for mchat the original template?

Had the thought to check my test board with IE and FF and low and behold an interesting issues showed up with IE v11.0.9600.17959.

Using the latest 1.0.6 version you let me know about a little while ago, abbc3, phpbb v3.1.9. looked at prosilver and aero. Firefox worked correctly. IE however had the problem showing in the pic. It's putting the sign smilies between the abbc3 button row and the text area next to the "normal" smilies. You can see it's pushing the text area down to accommodate the smilies. The button is working correctly in showing and hiding and the code shows when you click on a sign smilie. :wtf: Leave it up to MS to screw up something as simple as showing a board correctly. :wall:

Yes I see that also in IE (Edge 14.14393)
It is not hiding the smilies like designed and there is not enough room for both.
Just checked Chrome also and it works fine in there.

That damn IE. That browser has been our problem since 3.0

I can see by Kingsman's posts on his site that smilies don't show up right.
His style must not use the .forabg class or the .headerbar class. He has no outer sign or a pole showing.
His style may have to use the custom classes in the smiliesigns.css

I replaced the download in the first post. It want show smilies in portal and mess the page up because they show.
I just added an extra IF statement to fix that portal problem.

That's fine, how do I add the custom classes for PBTech?

I also see there is a file missing from 1.05 to 1.06 for the quick reply so will try adding it as 1.05 worked with quick reply.

No worries, the portal is sorted, and I finally have some CSS happening, so will wait for the quick reply now.

Interesting, I added a custom class for the bg, portal is good, new topic is "ok", but quick reply adds instead of replaces the smilies.

This is again probably my fault, as our smiley scroll extension is faily customised. Are you not able to treat quick reply in the same manner as you did abbc3?

Maybe this caused it.

#smiley-box1 {
margin-top: -105px;
width: 19%;
float: right;
}

is there somewhere I would need to alter your code to include smiley-box1

The template/event/vse_abbc3_posting_editor_buttons_custom_tags_before.html has the switch to hide smilies.
But we use #smiley-box id on the smiley box. Is quickreply the only place you use #smiley-box1 id?
Look for document.getElementById('smiley-box') Try document.getElementById('smiley-box1') 2 times in that line.

That handles the posting page also not just the quickreply. It can be split up if need be.
