What would be the proper way to edit the placement of this mod?

In overall_footer_copyright_prepend.html there is the line:

Code: Select all

<p class="pagevisits"><span class="pagevisits"><strong>{PAGEVISITS}</strong> {L_PAGE_VISITS}</p>
Now I can take that and paste it under all my other footer code, and just turn the mod off and it still works...but what would be the proper method to just change the placement so it can still be turned on/off in the ACP?

Did I mess something up, or is the mod actually missing a html tag?

This is a top extension.Try to add a background color.Put in acp settings that will allow users to customize their own words like ''hit counter'', ''visitors'', etc. Keep it up guys !

Proper way is to rename the Event.
You need to check if there is a Event on the location where you want to show it.
If not then you can relocate the code or the Event.(keep in mind that other extensions can use the same Event  )

Which one is the event ->{PAGEVISITS} or {L_PAGE_VISITS}?

Or is the file name the event?

Just a thought:
  1. Why not disable/delete data/enable the extension.
  2. Reinstall the extension altogether.

From yesterday in the evening to now: 9565 visits...

That is not correct, never :rolling:

May be we need restrictions - one person/guest/bot = one visit for x hours/minutes
I have the same problem: in 1 day over 7000 visits. :wall:

Is this still being worked on?
I use it in 3.2, but with every page a visitor arrives.

Is it possible to reset it?
I removed it for a while to rebuild my forum, but it just starts again with the old number

Reset found
