The selected attachment does not exist anymore.
I downloaded master to try the extension and now I'm waiting for somebody to send me a private message :rolling:

Edit
It works :D

But, if I keep the extension, I'll have to change the background color in styles Artodia, which I made dark.

The way I had the template written it might be hard to change the colors. You need something simple Nully... Everyone does.

So I re-wrote the template... Changed the classes to make it easy for you to edit the colors... And changed the language file.
Now with the new css, which is setup to look like the "rules" class, you can easily adjust the look to what you want it to be.

Animated PM Notification 1.0.1 Update
Check the first post for the new download.

Note: Edit the .pm-notify class in the theme/anipmnotify.css to get the look you want for your style.

It has been very simple to change background color in Artodia style :rolling:
There is a file _custom.scss where I have (I changed this color just after installation - before it was a dark blue):

Code: Select all

div.rules {
	background-color: #bbdddd;
	color: #000000;
}
The screenshot I posted before was in Prosilver style.
I'll update the extension and wait again for a new PM :D

Rules class is no longer used in the updated ext.

Code: Select all

.pm-notify {
	font-size: 1.1em;
	text-align: center;
	font-weight: bold;
	background-color: #ECD5D8;
	color: #BC2A4D;
   -webkit-border-radius: 6px;
   -o-border-radius: 6px;
   -moz-border-radius: 6px;
   border-radius: 6px;
   padding: 6px;
   margin: 4px 0;
}

I hate this rose color! :w00t:

Edit
and I hate red color on rose color :eyes2:

Edit 2
My problem will be that I use different colors for each style! So, I'll have to find a color which appears good everywhere. May be white.

It's me again.
There is something to change, I think, in language>common.php:

Code: Select all

'PM_READ'			=> 'Read Your Messages',
		'PM_NEW'			=> 'New Messages',
		'PM_UNREAD'			=> 'Unread Messages',
Could you add Read Your Message, New Message, Unread Message which will be better when there is only one message.

I had it setup with saying Message and Messages with IF statements at first and David63 shot it down.
He said I would have to set it up with the Plural Rules in the listener.php before it would pass.

I don't understand all that stuff. Look at "Private messages [0]" in your header. phpBB dose not use Plural Rules there.
I would like for this to use Messages and Message depending on having 1 or more messages.

I think I'm going to change the event/overall_header_page_body_before.html template back to this..

Code: Select all

<!-- IF S_DISPLAY_PM and (S_USER_NEW_PRIVMSG or S_USER_UNREAD_PRIVMSG) -->
	<div class="pm-notify">
		<div class="inner">
			<span class="pm-read"><a href="{U_PRIVATEMSGS}">{L_PM_READ} <!-- IF S_USER_UNREAD_PRIVMSG > 1 -->{L_MESSAGES}<!-- ELSE -->{L_MESSAGE}<!-- ENDIF --></a></span>
			<span class="pm-clapping">{CURRENT_USERNAME_SIMPLE}</span>
			<span class="pm-message">{L_PM_YOU_HAVE}
			<!-- IF S_USER_UNREAD_PRIVMSG > S_USER_NEW_PRIVMSG and S_USER_NEW_PRIVMSG != 0 -->
				[<span class="pm-new">{S_USER_NEW_PRIVMSG}</span>] {L_PM_NEW} <!-- IF S_USER_NEW_PRIVMSG > 1 -->{L_MESSAGES}<!-- ELSE -->{L_MESSAGE}<!-- ENDIF --> <span class="pm-mail"></span>&nbsp;[<span class="pm-unread">{S_USER_UNREAD_PRIVMSG}</span>] {L_PM_UNREAD} <!-- IF S_USER_UNREAD_PRIVMSG > 1 -->{L_MESSAGES}<!-- ELSE -->{L_MESSAGE}<!-- ENDIF -->
			<!-- ELSE -->
				<span class="pm-mail"></span>
				<!-- IF S_USER_NEW_PRIVMSG -->&nbsp;[<span class="pm-new">{S_USER_NEW_PRIVMSG}</span>] {L_PM_NEW} <!-- IF S_USER_NEW_PRIVMSG > 1 -->{L_MESSAGES}<!-- ELSE -->{L_MESSAGE}<!-- ENDIF -->
				<!-- ELSE -->&nbsp;[<span class="pm-unread">{S_USER_UNREAD_PRIVMSG}</span>] {L_PM_UNREAD} <!-- IF S_USER_UNREAD_PRIVMSG > 1 -->{L_MESSAGES}<!-- ELSE -->{L_MESSAGE}<!-- ENDIF -->
				<!-- ENDIF --></span>
			<!-- ENDIF -->
		</div>
	</div>
<!-- ENDIF -->
It just want be validated until I can figure out how to incorporate that Plural Rules stuff. I wish there was an extension example.

Yea... and looking at the root/includes/functions_privmsgs.php it looks like it's an ordeal to get the Plural Rule setup.

Yes Nully... I went back to my original setup using Message and Messages. There is another update on the first post.
