On the great Brainstorm path again, as I am attempting to work this extension.
A guild member has requested an on site Guild Video Gallery, and so far this extension will fit that request.
I think I have come up with a few ideas that may be worth implementing if at all possible.
Idea 1:
By end user option Through ACP, that can be turned on or off in the ACP Extension
Be able to List "X" number of Recently Galleried videos to a Category on the index.
Additionally: I would like to Specify which Video Galery Category to Display and a display all Option
The Forum Admin would have to create a Category and label it.
The from the Video Gallery Extension Choose the number of Recent Videos to display, which Index Category to display in (Presumable the newly created one), and which Video Category to list the Videos from (Or no category at all, which would then list from all recent Videos)
End result may appear as the following example (No laughs, this is a nasty mock-up only):

Idea 2:
Taking the from Idea 1 and continuing:
If the Video Gallery to be specified not only to a Category (Or Blank Category) but also to a Forum.
The result would be:
The result would potentially appear similar to the following graphic example (Again no laughs please :p )

Additional thoughts for Ideas 1 & 2:
End users may want to create multiple instances of this concept, to show several different Video Categories, in different Forum Index areas.
Extension should be responsive, but also, the End User must be wise about How many Video Thumbs they wish to have displayed on Forum Index Page.
Forum Styles should be used wherever possible (ie. Background.Font Style and color, etc)
Idea 3:
See if it is possible to add entire Youtube collections as a single Viewable source.
This Link will take you to a youtube page that has a list of three Videos.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAdeb3T ... Aw42XXzJgs
Would like the ability to use that link, over having to submit one Video at a time to the Gallery.
Would need some way through the extension to identify Video as a collection, so it can be identified from single videos.
Additionally: if that Youtube Gallery/collection is updated or changed in any way, I would see it listed as "Most Recent Video Release" in the Idea 1 & 2 concept.
Idea 4:
Now I am going to go way out on the limb for a suggestion.
If Idea 1 or/and 2 can be implemented, may also consider making the Video play on a "Pop-out", rather than go to another page. I do not know what type of resource use this would impose on a server, but if the consideration of a "Pop-out" seems that it would be resource high usage, then redirect to the Video Gallery page is still wholly acceptable.
SOME FINAL GENERAL OBSERVATIONS of Youtube Videos Gallery Extension:
Have a pop out window similar to the pop out for additional Smilies, but for the Gallery collection.
The pop out could be activated through a link/button of some sort in the text bar.
From this pop out window, a user could select Videos to be placed in their posts, as you would an extra unlisted Smiley/emoticon.
That is what I have for now....once again I am just Brainstorming, but I think these additions would be a game changer for this Extension ;)
Cheers
and
for your time and consideration

SOME FINAL GENERAL OBSERVATIONS of Youtube Videos Gallery Extension:
- I think that in the Video Category drop down list (Created by End User) a Category needs to be required and the first listed option should be "Select a Category". As it is right now, someone attaching a video may select a wrong Category or not select one at all. Selection should be required and checked for prior to submission.
- Extension Needs the ability to change Category Tag of Videos already tagged
- May consider establishing user permissions to define what User can do what. (ie. Change Category, Add Category, Guest viewable, etc)

I have the same problem. Desciption is not taken from the video url
on top on your forum where the error message is, you will see a link in them. This is the url what to get the information from youtube.
copy this link between the ( and ) and open a new browser window. paste the link and hit enter. you will get more information about this error
so i have created a new api-key without any url.
i am using the orignal files from the download. no modifikation required
it is working now like a charm. video-title will be shown also

Re: Youtube Videos Gallery
I am not finding any, but after a fellow Beta tester accidentally deleted a Vid....if there are no permissions....maybe there should be....
Let us know...if no permissions, I can come up with a quick list for consideration.

Re: Youtube Videos Gallery
Even with my Global Mod or Admin account I can't delete videos ?
EDIT:
Correction my Admin account allows for deletion.
Guess I will have to add an if statement to this ext so Global Mod can delete....

Re: Youtube Videos Gallery
2 ways we have found to Delete.
In main Video Gallery Bring up the Video and look for delete button in upper right side:

In ACP go to:
Extensions tab > Video Gallery > Video Titles
Click the red button on right side of Video description.

Correction I can delete with Admin account ONLY
Will try add an if statement to the ext to allow Moderators to be able to delete.
