RE: v1.0.3

Just installed, can't use yet until I figure out which Google account to use with the API yet. (Time to make a board specific account!)

BUG (arguable) - Enable video gallery: Defaulted to YES instead of No upon installation.

BUG (arguable) - Enable video statistics on index: Yes displays displays statistics even if Enable video gallery is set to No.

Just noticed today that all comments are anonymous, no poster's (commentator's) name along with it.

Hell, this one is important to me. I'll donate for another two years if we can get some of these features implemented! :yikes:

If you dont enter a key then you wont get video tittles if you enter what you think is a working api key you still wont get video tittles but if you enter a working and valid key you will get working tittles.

Its that easy.

Official Extension: Media Embed PlugIn
https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtop ... &t=2386631

When this is released it should make it a lot easier to add videos from sources other than YouTube. Hopefully Video Gallery next.version will take advantage.

They only display in the video window. Change to feature request: Pull video title and display in the Video Gallery along with Author, Category, Date, and Views.

The major problem with this is that members see one frame of the video in the Video Gallery selection list with no title or description. They have to click the link to see "what it's all about." Then once they click the link the view count is incremented if they actually watch the video or not. So members basically click everything to see what it is and metrics are completely screwed/skewed.

I love this extension. It's a great addition to my board. It technically works, but is a little spartan. It just needs some polish to make it shiny and perfect.

I will check the video titles on index in next release.

It shows on hover on index besides that there would only be a few chars of the tittle showing as some are rather long.

Hmmmmmm, neither of those are working for me. API key installed. Not sure what the problem is. Will double check settings.
