Unless you are willing to hardcode changes to the extension, it's not possible.
And even then, every time the extension gets updated, you will have to reapply the changes.
I could do that if I knew what to change.
I have this done already.. it's a few file changes. Then you need to your new path created obviously. I think I also changed the way they are brought up, since I've changed the url, mine popup in a blank tab as any other image in most browsers instead of the extension function that provides the forum hyperlinks, only downfall to my edits. It would be quicker for me just to share the files, then to type it all out here.

How do you want to go about this, I will help you if you really want. BUT, as Posey said, remember it WILL break if you don't make same changes to every future update. All my edits are clearly marked in code. Original files are saved separately with a # at the beginning, marking them. I check in here like once a week, normally. You can catch me almost daily on my forums, working on something.

I know I know.. I just made your day! :)

EDIT, I just packed it now quickly, do as you wish with it, if I don't hear from you, I will assume you got it working! Enjoy.

Sounds like a good idea, martin. It would be fine to keep the files/images outside - more easy to refind, save if you deinstall the extension.

Interesting, just curious why? Users could share optionally in posts.

I don't know why that would be a problem. Let's try!

Quote this img.. uploaded thru this ext.

I hope with next version you fix this, too.

nou nou wrote: 08 Nov 2017, 07:00 I've found an odd behaviour (bug?) with Image Upload 1.0.4 and Board Announcements on phpBB3.2...

When Image Upload is enabled, an announcement made with Board Announcements cannot be dismissed, even though the setting in the ACP allows for it. The little button to do so in the top right of the announcement disappears as soon as Image Upload is enabled. Disable Image Upload and the button comes back.

Conflict?

[ Post made via Android ] Image
Found what's causing the issue. This CSS rule

Code: Select all

.close {
	position: absolute;
	top: 15px;
	right: 35px;
	color: #f1f1f1;
	font-size: 40px;
	font-weight: bold;
	transition: 0.3s;
}
in imageupload.css line 131 is overwriting the close button position.

Any recommendation on how to solve this?

the class name "close" needs to be changed. I changed for me to "imgclose" in imageupload_index_body.html (2x) and imageupload.css (3x) to get it to work with boardannouncements.

Can you please check the language functions? If my board language is German, and I change my user preferences to English, and if Image Upload ist enabled I get a mixed language in ACP and in forums navbar (fixed footer and header navbar), too. Some parts are in English, some parts in my board default language German.

I disabled all extensions, and the language strings are all in English. I switched them on one by one - at the point I enabled Image Upload the German parts between the English navigation links are back.

I thought I had already seen a similar message somewhere, but I can not find it (and the possible fix).
