Saaaaawwwweeeeeeeeet! Thanks zardos for the report...

I was going to point out the styles/all/theme/smiliesigns.css you can add border to spruce up the look.
Then I noticed when playing with the classes earlier I left the .css classes off in that file.

It should be...

Code: Select all

.custom-head { border: 1px solid #777; }
.custom-inner { border: 1px solid #777; }
.custom-img { }
I had .sign-head - .sign-inner and sign-img in there, just in that file. Updated download.

Yea those borders make it pop out a little more with the look.

And the aero style uses shadow which looks pretty awesome.
Aero style is the reason we added those custom classes, but I see those can work for sprucing up any style.

No bad reports yet... This version looks pretty tight so far. Thanks for the testing guys!

Playing with your latest release and it's looking great in FF and chrome. Still the hitch in IE. Don't know if there is anything to be done about that. People shouldn't be using that mess anyhow. :rolling:

Sniper_E wrote: 16 Oct 2016, 17:29 The template/event/vse_abbc3_posting_editor_buttons_custom_tags_before.html has the switch to hide smilies.
But we use #smiley-box id on the smiley box. Is quickreply the only place you use #smiley-box1 id?
Look for document.getElementById('smiley-box') Try document.getElementById('smiley-box1') 2 times in that line.

That handles the posting page also not just the quickreply. It can be split up if need be.
I'm a bit lost, are you saying that vse_abbc3_posting_editor_buttons_custom_tags_before.html handles both new topics, AND quick reply? If so then there is no way for me to fix it, as I have altered both differently to get the smiley box to display how I like it. Also if that is the case then what does ext_quickreply_transform_text_buttons_after.html do?

We actually use smiley-box, 1, 2 and 3 in various forms, so maybe I will just revert to 1.5 and then hack in the new bbcode replacement etc.

As an experiment I put my site back to using smiley-box like normal, and everything works fine, besides the horrid smiley-box alignment issues again. I use those classes to adjust the height of the smiley boxes on different pages so they line up correctly.

took a few screenshots so you see what I mean. so without that ability to adjust those I think it might be best if I give up on this extension. Unless I can split the new topic and quick reply into 2 files? that could work.

Nevermind, I worked out how to fix alignment without altering those classes.

goto ext/alex75/smiliesscrollbox/styles/pbtech/template/event

open ext_quickreply_smiley_box_prepend_bis.html

then you can play around with alignment and make it suit your style, here is mine.

<div style="margin-top:-105px; height:210px; border: solid 1px #B4BAC0; overflow:auto;">

margin-top moves it up and down.

I thinking about switching this over to under the buttons and leave the smilies alone.
smiliesigns_show.gif
I like side stepping any potential problems or need for adjustments.

Yes that's one way. I was about to say my last wish would be to know if we can adjust the height of your smiley sign box somewhere? If I could raise it 40-50 pixels to match our style it would be absolutely perfect.

Those heights for the signs smilie box are in the smiliesigns.css

Code: Select all

.signs-posting-list { height: 260px;overflow-y: scroll;overflow-x: hidden; }
Damn I just noticed that posting buttons is not in quickreply. It must need a quickreply event template.?.?
Puchahawa wrote:Hi sniper. One of my members asked if I could do a page of all the smilies so they could see them.
I added an example smilie sign on hover for those who want to see what it looks like.
I guess if the preview button just want do for them.
Small edit in smiliesigns.css to make them show.

This worked fine for me.

#smiliesigns-posting-box { margin-top:-65px;width: 18%;float: right;display: none; }
#smiliesigns-index-box { width: 80%;margin: 0 auto;display: none; }
.signs-posting-list { height: 370px;overflow-y: scroll;overflow-x: hidden; }

though by using the one file for both new topic and quickreply it becomes a case of never the 2 shall meet. :wink:

Yes that will effect the posting page also. I'm with your first thought, quickreply needs to be separate... it is built different.

I'm adding codes to separate all the different pages. Each page does need it's own classes.

Code: Select all

/* Sign smilie selections */
#smiliesigns-img { background-image:  url("./../../../images/smiliesigns.gif"); }
#smiliesigns-posting-box { width: 18%;float: right;display: none; }
#smiliesigns-viewtopic-box { margin-top:-65px;width: 18%;float: right;display: none; }
#smiliesigns-index-box { width: 80%;margin: 0 auto;display: none; }
.signs-posting-list { height: 260px;overflow-y: scroll;overflow-x: hidden; }
.signs-viewtopic-list { height: 370px;overflow-y: scroll;overflow-x: hidden; }
.signs-index-list { height: 75px;overflow-y: scroll;overflow-x: hidden; }
You can adjust from there for each style. And we need some responsive changes.
