Post by martin »

I have been blasted by bots if you want to call them that but they have almost took me offline so knocked up a little ext to block Singapore (Now the whole of china).

Note who is where may still show them online but there not there off to visit the url you set.

Updated the code as i found away around it.
1.0.3 works on 3.3 and 3.3.1

This version is for 3.2 only it has no acp settings.

Tested on phpbb 3.3.0 with some issues:

Image

Doesn´t work if phpbb sitemaker ext is enabled:

Code: Select all

Cannot autowire service "martin.singapore.listener": argument "$template" of method "martin\singapore\event\main_listener::__construct()" references interface "phpbb\template\template" but no such service exists. You should maybe alias this interface to one of these existing services: "template", "blitze.sitemaker.template".

I and a few others have tested on phpbb 3.3 with no issues.

If you have a issue and it seems a few and they all relate to site maker then there is your problem.

No and no.

it blocks a user by there browser lang not ip so vpn/proxy dont even come into it when a user installs a browser the user lang (example france) will be installed as your location is france this you cant alter so if you block france lang your block all of france.

Are you using the correct checker fot html5 ? https://validator.w3.org/nu/ note the "nu" on the end.

Here is mine https://validator.w3.org/nu/?doc=https: ... -phpbb.com

Here is dmzx https://validator.w3.org/nu/?doc=https% ... zx-web.net

Using just w3.org will show errors as its old and out of date https://validator.w3.org/

Singashit passes validation.

I should point out just as an error shows in an ext does not mean that the problem is in the ext! an out of place <div> or <p> in any file on the server can do some funny stuff when it comes to html5 valid.

the links above i posted all come back as html5 valid so the issue is in another file on your server.
