WE have just updated to phpbb 3.3.0

how do we update this UPE package? We have 1.2.2, but we have modified some of the files and language... how do we update it to 1.2.4 without removing our modifications?

You cant your edits to the ext will be lost.

back up your version your using now update the ext then place your edits into the new ext note i said edits dont copy files from old ext to new version.

Btw, our system still works flawlessly without updating the UPE. Is it still critical to update this extension? or something is bound to happen wrong in the future?

Ours is 3.3.0 and UPE is 1.2.2

UPE is 1.2.4 will have more options and code corrections, its always better to updgrade.
What code did you add to the 1.2.2?

You have 2 options. And it's pretty easy.

You can compare 1.2.2 to 1.2.4 and apply the changes to your 1.2.2 modified. (You can use winMerge for comparing code easily)

You can compare original 1.2.2 with your modified one and apply those changes to the last 1.2.4
