This error same with me. How did you fix it? Just disable the top 5 referrers in index? How can you determine the winner if disable it?

if you start a contest tick Display referral contests on board index
if you dont want to start a contest u must uncheck Display referral contests on board index to avoid this error thats all

i confirm that i have this bug too i got many duplicated referrals
i just start a contest 8 days durtion and make the referrals must post 2 reply to be counted as valid referral
i got many duplicated refs ,
for example i only invite user2 and its duplicated 3 times so when he make more than 2 posts its will show me that i have 3 valid referrals

I also have 4 entries into the db for sending 1 email - is there already a resolution for that?

And apart this: when the new user gets an email with the generated url and he clicks on it he gets on the index page... is this correct like that?
Shouldn't he get on the register page directly, with maybe his email address already prepopulated?

Does not matter, the cookie is set so can be any page.

Hey, I installed this to my live board (I know we shouldn't, but I feel it gives me more information to work with ) and found an issue with forums that do not increase post count.

If the users first post is made within a forum that has Increment post counter set to off in the permissions, their post isn't counted towards the contest post (if required is > 0) and neither are any others made after that in forums with that permission on. I resolved this for now by setting a required post of 1 for the referral and place them into the Newly Registered group until they reach 1 post where the can then use the off-topic section of my board.


As for the duplicate entries, I can't wrap my head around that one, some members get it and only have 1 referral shown for the contest, others get it and have 4
