Change

Code: Select all

<!-- IF S_USERNAME eq "YOUR NAME HERE" -->
to

Code: Select all

<!-- IF U_ACP -->
Now all admins can see the link in the navbar but only You will get access to it.

EDIT the view.php cant be found on your server No route found for "GET /view.php" means 404 it's not there.

<!-- IF S_USERNAME eq "YOUR NAME HERE" --> the name has to be spelt correct as in the time the board was made (as in caps) if you want you can send me ftp info and il check it out and a test account with founder ticked.
Use this to install an ext on your board no more ftp or path making.
Path too install this ext is ext/boardtools/upload
Download is here Make it easy for us to solve your issues

Unauthorized Access. Username and IP address have been logged...
I have tried this set to "Lew" and FOUNDER and no joy on either.

OK, back to this!! :thumbup:

I know how to change the code in
/language/en/common.php
Also
styles/prosilver/template/Navbar_header.html

"stupid" questions (I'm sure).

1) what is user ID 2?

2) what do I do with the PM.zip file? Do I need to add "pm_body.html" to the sytles > prosilver > template > directory? ( assume)

3) where is the /view.php file?

Once you pound it into my head, I'll be OK!

I sent you a pm also the view.php is not in your root where the config.php file is.

Extract the zip file it then turns into a normal folder called pm open that folder then upload the files in that one to your root (same place as the config.php file is) then purge the board.

I see what I missed. I didn't upload the view.php file to the root. :shock:

Now it works perfectly! :buigen:

What do I change to make it for "just Founders only"? I have one of my forums that has a co-owner and he is a "founder" also. But I don't want it to be seen by the Administrator or Moderators or any Users.

Thank you very much

Open the view.php
Find This may be a partial find and not the whole line

Code: Select all

If ($user->data[’user_id’] != ’2’) {
Replace with Replace the preceding lines with the following

Code: Select all

If ($user->data[’user_type’] != USER_FOUNDER) {
now all founders can read the pm's so be carefull who you make a founder

I only have one founder on this forum, and only 2 on my big forum. I made the above changes and now I get
"Unauthorized Access. Username and IP address have been logged..."

I also have another login as just an Administrator (not a founder). When logedin as administrator, I can still see the "PM" launch button, but I get
"Unauthorized Access. Username and IP address have been logged..."

Also, any way to keep the PM button from even being seen by the Administrators, or Moderators, or any Users??

I noticed if I was logged in, I could insert the url http://www.mydomainname.com/view.php and it will do the same thing. So if I removed the "PM" from showing, it would be invisable to everyone, but I can go to it by using that URL.??????
